~18 mg still active at bedtime from earlier drinks.
What it does
Your café order is two taps away — flat white, magic, long black, energy drink. Recents float to the top automatically.
A pharmacokinetic model turns each drink into a curve — rising to a peak around 45 minutes, then tapering as you metabolise it.
Tell Piccolo your bedtime and it works out your last safe coffee — factoring in what's still active from earlier in the day.
Your caffeine lives in Apple Health and syncs through your own private iCloud. It never touches our servers — we don't have any.
Log a coffee from Apple Watch and read your current level at a glance — straight from a complication on your watch face.
A curated AU catalogue with researched caffeine estimates — and fuzzy search, so typing "coke" still finds Coca-Cola.

The science
Most apps just add up milligrams. Piccolo runs a one-compartment pharmacokinetic model — the same maths clinicians use — over every drink you log.
Each coffee is absorbed to a peak about 45 minutes in, then decays at your half-life (5 hours by default, and adjustable). Stack a few drinks and the curves add up, giving you the one number that matters: how much caffeine is active right now.
C(t) = D · (ka / (ka − ke)) · (e−ket − e−kat)
One 80 mg drink, plotted by the real engine.
Sleep
Caffeine outlasts the buzz. With a five-hour half-life, around a quarter of your 2 p.m. coffee is still circulating at midnight — quietly blocking the adenosine that's trying to make you sleepy.
Piccolo projects every drink forward to your bedtime, so you can see what'll still be active when your head hits the pillow — instead of guessing.
Set your bedtime once and it works out your last safe cup from everything you've already had that day, then nudges you as that window closes. Metabolise fast or slow? The half-life is yours to adjust.
A single 2 p.m. coffee, projected to your bedtime by the real engine.
Piccolo has no account and no third-party SDKs. Everything you log is stored in Apple Health and synced through your private iCloud — never to a server we control. Delete the app and your history lives on in Health.
The beta is rolling out via TestFlight. Drop your email and we'll send an invite — plus a nudge the day Piccolo lands on the App Store.
