Is any information about my Portfolio sent back to the developer?
No! Not ever. Your portfolio information is confidential, and no data is sent back to the developer.
Can I enter the purchase price/date for stocks?
Not yet. The change is always expressed relative to today's open price or yesterday's close (depending on the time of day). We know that this is important to many users, and we're working on adding this to a future update.
How is the base currency of Portfolio set?
The base currency - that all currency values are converted to - is set automatically based on your iPhone's International settings. This is in the iPhone's settings app under General->International.
Portfolio repeatedly crashes on startup
We've identified a rare crash when your currency is set to Swiss Francs. Portfolio may crash when it has no existing data - that means it might repeatedly crash on startup. We're working to fix the underlying bug, but as a workaround, you can:
- Set your location to, say US.
In your iPhone's Settings App, go to Settings->General->International. - Start Portfolio, wait for it to finish loading.
- To be sure press the reload button (bottom-left).
- Quit Portfolio
- Change back to Switzerland.
- Start Portfolio.
